One day on the west coast of new zealand a tribe called  taka hai

by the moana they were living peacefully until one day they  saw a war ship

as it  slowly came into shaw one tinnie at a time  till they had all got of the ship.

They had around 4000 men all armed  getting ready for war they thought it  would be easy because the tribe had no weapons  and they men had at the boat with cannons .

then the general  said fire! and the fort as hard as they could . Slowly one by one they dropped .The warriors had to get close enough with their spears but the big ships were blowing there cover.  So the warriors said we have had enough so they used a weapon the way that they would use to hunt animals . A stick 2 pieces of flax it could fly about 200 meters so the warriors went into the bush were  there was harakeke. suddenly out of the bush  came hundreds of harakeke arows it dropped about 300 men but as nightfall came .

The soldiers came came looking for warriors they ambushed them with their harakeke  arrows it dropped 50 more  to the ground so who were in the bush  they were stuck there because the other soldiers stranded them and took all the tinnies  there was about 140 soldiers left so they got out when they had gone . so at first light the warriors  shot there harakeke arows and hit 23 but then the soldiers found out which area of the bush they were in so they fired !   like mad and they dropped nearly sixty  it was 11 against 140 so they moved to a different spot north of the bush they fired non - stop and then one of the warriors found a soldier's weapon but just last light the warrior

found them so he tried to get in close found there went back and said brothers huddle up i have found the camp we shall raid them during the night .

So the warriors plan was to take some weapons and finish them but one of the soldiers saw them so he woke up the who shot  is gun and SAID EVERY BODY UP ITS WAR! so they couldn't see them but the  warriors could see them so they shot as many bullets as they could . all the soldiers were dropping one by one till there about four of them so they please give us mercy so they you stay on this land so build them a waka to go home. the end

I deliberately use a range of simple, compound and complex GBBGV sentences to set the mood of my writing.   I can organise my ideas into paragraphs.
